This is what a typical play session of Fire Zone looks like (though you can also play it on paper - and that works just as well).

This game was set during Operation Market-Garden (immortalized in the movie A Bridge Too Far), 1944 in the Netherlands. We were a platoon from the US 82nd Airborne Division, attempting to secure a village occupied by a mixed group of Germans. Because the game was double-blind we had no idea what we were up against.

(This scenario was designed, set up and gamemastered by George Duff - using his own rules, similar to Fire Zone. George and I share a lot of information and opinions on tabletop wargaming and military stuff in general. We served in the same unit.)
